LynLake Centers for WellBeing Joins ARC Health
INDEPENDENCE, Ohio, Oct. 10, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — ARC Health, a Thurston Group portfolio company, has announced a partnership with LynLake Psychotherapy and Wellness Ltd (DBA LynLake Centers for WellBeing). This integrative mental health and wellness practice is based in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, boasting fourteen locations across the urban neighborhoods of Minneapolis and St. Paul. The partnership was facilitated by Agenda Health.
Established in 2014 by Suzanne Morgan, MFA, MSW, with a strong commitment to social justice and integrative care, LynLake has risen as a prominent name in Minnesota for trauma-informed behavioral healthcare and wellness services. The spectrum of outpatient clinical offerings at LynLake is diverse, spanning from psychotherapy, neuro/psychological testing, and nutritional counseling, to neurofeedback, medication management, acupuncture, wellness coaching, trauma-informed massage, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, yoga therapy, craniosacral therapy, and Reiki, among others.
In 2020, Suzanne fortified LynLake’s business and clinical expertise by enlisting her long-term colleague, Emily Van Wyk, PsyD, LP, who assumed the roles of President and Clinical Director at LynLake. Amidst the pivotal years of the global pandemic and the local civil turmoil triggered by the tragic death of George Floyd, Suzanne, Emily, and their dedicated, all-female leadership team initiated an extensive professional training program. This effort coincided with a twofold expansion of their physical presence and provider network, a strategic move aimed at providing essential care to their local community during a critical time.
Suzanne and Emily are optimistic about the potential for program growth and staff development stemming from the ARC Health partnership. Committed to LynLake’s core values of creativity, inclusivity, and integrity, they aim to guide staff, providers, and clients on a journey toward healing and wholeness.
Vince Morra, CEO of ARC Health, stated, “In uniting with LynLake, we proudly reaffirm our mission to prioritize client wellness and elevate the capabilities of mental health providers.”

CompleteOK to Open Texas De Novo Within 6 Months
Oklahoma-based Hospice provider CompleteOK recently entered the Texas market with the purchase of a license from Avenir Hospice Care for an undisclosed sum. With the license in hand, the company expects to open a de novo in that area within six months.
Acquiring a license generally requires less capital than purchasing an entrenched asset already in operation. License transactions are often favorable for smaller organizations that seek to expand, but may struggle to outbid a large strategic buyer or private equity firm.
“We find value [in a license acquisition] in the fact that it’s an open canvas,” Cleland Edwards, owner of CompleteOK told Hospice News. “We get to take the agency and build it from the ground up. So we know exactly what we have going forward.”

Bristol Acquires Texas-Based Hospice Select
Bristol Hospice has acquired Hospice Select in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for an undisclosed sum.
Bristol is a large multi-regional player that has grown seven times larger since private equity firm Webster Equity Partners purchased the company in 2017. The hospice operates more than 45 locations across 13 states, with EBITDA that exceeds $70 million, according to PE Hub.
M&A advisory firm Agenda Health represented Hospice Select in the transaction.
“We ran our bid process for Hospice Select at the start of this year and introduced them to myriad buyers,” Alex Veach, director of operations for Agenda Health, told Hospice News. “Hospice Select felt like the folks at Bristol represented the culture that they wanted to see continued in their hospice.”

Bristol Purchases Hope Hospice in Missouri
Bristol Hospice has acquired Missouri-based Hope Hospice for an undisclosed sum in the company’s first deal of the year. This follows nine acquisitions during 2020 and 14 in total since private equity firm Webster Equity Partners purchased the agency in 2017.
Hope Hospice in St. Louis was established in the early 2000s. Discussions of a possible sale began in late 2020 with its M&A advisors Agenda Health. The deal reflects the growing importance of established community relationships and reputation when it comes to hospice M&A, according to Alex Veach of Agenda Health.
The deal marks Bristol’s entry into the Missouri market.
“Especially for a new market acquisition, I think it’s essential. I’ve had several sellers tell me that their caregivers are actually the best marketers, and when you have a good set of caregivers that emphasize quality of care, it builds a brand for the agency in the area,” Veach told Hospice News. “It allows you to establish your hospice as one that puts the quality of the care and the value of the patient over profit, which every patient is going to prioritize.”

Having spoken with several agencies before making our decision, the transparency of Agenda stood out. That made it real simple: if we were going to do business, we wanted to do business with a firm of that integrity. They were present at every meeting, and the prep and debrief conversations meant we always knew what to expect. As we got closer to the end of the deal, it was new terrain for me and I didn’t know how to navigate it, but Agenda did a great job helping us work through those difficult talking points. In the end, they came through with everything promised on the front end, and that exceeded expectations.
Initially, the process felt overwhelming since it was my first time selling a business, but Agenda Health helped ease my concerns and answered all my questions. Agenda filled in the gaps where I lacked understanding … in the end, Agenda made a very complicated process feel simple.”
The Agenda Team was patient and went at the pace that we needed to go, which was important for us. They also provided education on the various dynamics of the process, which we greatly appreciated. We were introduced to a variety of buyers, which opened our eyes to various possibilities and gave us a good idea of what we were looking for in an acquirer. We would highly recommend Agenda for the value they bring.”
My overall experience working with Agenda was very positive. The team was professional, supportive, and ultimately delivered a great outcome. The valuation they provided was very insightful and valuable in understanding my company’s position, and I really appreciated the constant communication throughout the process, which kept me informed at every stage. Overall, the guidance, insights, and consistent support were invaluable in reaching a successful outcome, and I’m pleased with the experience.”
Agenda really understands ABA – they understood the differences in my practice and others and had great knowledge of the ABA-specific M&A market. They were able to clearly express our mission and program to potential buyers and understood what made my business different. Everyone was aligned on my goals and worked hard to accomplish them.”
Working with Agenda Health was a first-class experience. As first-time sellers, their clear communication and steady support helped calm our nerves throughout the process. We hadn’t planned to sell until Agenda provided a valuation, but we never felt pressured in this process. After Agenda presented our valuation information and the pros and cons of selling, we felt equipped to make an informed decision and committed to partnering with Agenda to sell our business.”
Agenda Health’s deep understanding of the ABA space and knowledge of the market made all the difference in my transaction. They knew exactly how to position our business and connected us with the right partner quickly. Agenda’s expertise gave us confidence every step of the way, and the outcome exceeded my expectations.”
Agenda gave us peace of mind and ease in selling our business. It’s such a big decision and undertaking, and Agenda takes something that’s probably one of the biggest decisions that a company owner is going to make and makes it easy and smooth. I would highly recommend it to anybody that is in our same kind of situation.”
Initially, the process felt overwhelming since it was my first time selling a business, but Agenda Health helped ease my concerns and answered all my questions. Agenda filled in the gaps where I lacked understanding … in the end, Agenda made a very complicated process feel simple.”
I needed an M&A firm with the connections to assist me with small, targeted home health investment opportunities that I could grow. Not only did Agenda Health deliver on that need, but they also managed the sale of that large agency at its maximized value. This team is able to excel at both large and small levels in M&A.”
Starting as a small hospice owner with a passion to grow, Agenda Health was instrumental in helping us identify acquisition opportunities and managing the process. Once we grew our company to over 600 patients in 7 states, Agenda found a buyer that allowed us to maximize our value and ensure that our family could retire comfortably. With over 10 years of experience working with their team, I can attest to their commitment to building long term relationships.”
Our family-owned, hospice company was only a small part of our $40 million healthcare enterprise, but it was intertwined with our home health business. Agenda Health worked with us to structure that divestiture and find the right partner. I recommend them to owners looking for a trusted and skilled partner.”
