Al Veach
Al Veach
Founder & CEO
Executive Team
Al Veach is an established leader in healthcare M&A with a proven track record of successful transactions over two decades. As a result of working with companies ranging in size from publicly traded entities with a market cap over $1 billion to small businesses started out of someone’s home, Al has developed a broad range of relationships and perspective that allows him to quickly identify and track towards the critical needs of each client.
After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1995 with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Al began his career selling and supporting Oracle-based ERP solutions to Fortune 500 companies, most of which were leveraging those solutions to merge newly acquired companies into their existing IT footprint as part of an M&A strategy to achieve economies of scale. The inefficiencies and commonalities Al observed within these transactions sparked his interest in creating a firm that simplified the complexities of the M&A process.
Starting in 2002, Al began to transition his focus to healthcare by taking an active role in healthcare-related M&A transactions as an advisor to divesting organizations. In 2008, Al recognized a significant need in the Hospice and Home Health marketplace for a specialized M&A firm that maintained an “Agenda” with the proven buyers in those healthcare specialties. Through the implementation of a steady cadence with those buyers combined with the use of technology to capture and match attributes, Al and his team built a transaction management model that naturally implemented confidentiality into the process through precision-based attribute matching for sellers and buyers. His goal was to only show businesses to buyers that fit the target. This was the beginning of Agenda Health.
Over the next 12 years, Al cultivated a team of healthcare specialists from local providers along with strong business graduates trained by Texas-based business schools such as McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas and Mays Business School at Texas A&M. The primary goal of cultivating a young team of academic standouts was to exponentiate their value by supplementing their skills with a foundational Christ-centered code of ethics from which each advisor could draw to properly guide their clients with honesty, integrity and hard work.
Al has been happily married to his wife, Kim, for 22 years and they have raised three outstanding children, one of which (Alex) has become a foundational part of the operation’s leadership at Agenda Health. Al is a Deacon at Bannockburn Church in Austin and is focused on making Agenda Health a ministry, not just a business. Al also loves playing golf in his free time.
